OUR HEALING COLLECTIVE
KELLIE RAMDEEN, THERAPIST, PRE-LPC
HI, I'M KELLIE
It may be difficult to keep up with everything during changing times. Maybe you’ve never told anyone about your struggles, or you’ve wanted to tell someone for quite a while. You might be afraid to face what’s happening, feel embarrassed or unsure how to talk about it. Perhaps you’re feeling tired and weighed down by it all. You may even find it very hard to believe this happened to you or this is where things are at in your life. This could leave you feeling alone and nervous. You don't have to feel this way- you deserve support to move forward with confidence and strength.
I know through my own experience the struggle of trusting someone with our difficulties and pain. I became a therapist to help people open up, share their feelings and let it out. I believe giving people the time and attention to talk about what they are going through and what they have experienced creates a comfortable compassionate environment. I am committed to being a source of support, especially when people don’t have friends or family they can talk to.
“I BELIEVE EVERYONE DESERVES TO LIVE TRUTHFULLY"
Through several years of working with Abuse and Sexual Assault Prevention (ASAP), I learned the importance of helping people find the words to name their experience when they feel unsure of how to explain it. I bring a strong sense of kindness, stability and balance to inspire people to tell their story through real talk, real feelings, real language, even the messy and difficult parts.
Mentoring high school and college students at advanced levels showed me the power of building confidence and motivation through reflection in both directions; forward and backward. I believe this helps us identify our skills and abilities, while strengthening acceptance and understanding.
As a biracial, first generation American, I know what it’s like to sometimes feel torn in different directions and unsure of how to navigate. I care deeply about helping people accept and embrace multicultural identities. I strongly believe we all deserve to be represented, feel seen and live truthfully without being weighed down by guilt. I support people to approach challenges with curiosity as we explore questions of how and where we fit in.
I understand how painful and lonely it can be to try to get through your challenges. You can have the confidence and stability to live openly and honestly or fine tune where you are at now. You deserve to believe in your own capabilities and learn to be kinder to yourself. I am here to offer support and I would be honored to work with you. Let’s connect today!
